I'm really surprised this place doesn't get more attention. I don't know much about wine but I would recommend them based on their small but exclusive and mighty beer list alone. Almost all their beer is made nearby, and it's often something special you might got get anywhere else. We popped in without a reservation and ended up with seats facing the kitchen. You know how this always seems cool but it ends up sort of distracting and terrible? Not here. The food is all creative, well presented and delicious. There's a bit of a down home flare to it. The restaurant is cozy and buzzed with conversations but never got too loud. Overall it seems like a friendlier and more unique version of a certain other beer restaurant up the street.

I've been meaning to try it out for a long time and finally managed to do so. The food is very good, service is great, wine selection is very large, albeit 'by the glass' options were limited though the 3 we tried were excellent. Everything we tried was very well made, I especially enjoyed the bone marrow, the fried chicken and the rabbit meatballs. The pretzel was a very nice touch as well and great way to start a meal. We shall return

Highly recommended. My boyfriend and I went to St. Vincent last night for dinner and drinks before a show and could not have had a better experience. They have a super impressive wine list. I don't know enough about wine but the breadth of their list was pretty impressive. They have 100 bottles under 100 and the option for half bottles, too! Lots of wine, and some great beers, too. The entire staff seems happy to be there, passionate about what they do, and deeply knowledgeable about how they do it. Looking forward to going back, and highly recommend it (but would suggest making reservations ahead of time to play it safe).

This restaurant was a great find, got seats in front of the chef's so could watch the action. Food was amazing, tried sweetbreads which were very tasty. Also had a few good craft beers to go along with dinner.

Forget about the wine for a second...the food. I am a southerner and I could not believe the food. We ordered the pork bbq and fried chicken. I haven't had southern food even close to this in California. We didn't have a reservation and the place was packed, but there's a bar right in front of the kitchen area. It was great to watch all the action. The wine selection was very good as well. And the staff is incredibly knowledgable and friendly-- will definitely be back.

Great spot in the Mission. Good food, good wine selection, small and intimate. We were seated in a small bar that faces the kitchen and really enjoyed seeing all the cooking taking place. Highlights were the wine suggestions given by David, the fried chicken, and all the very friendly staff.

I think this might be my new favorite place in the Mission. All of the food was to die for — very fresh and a wonderful complexity of ingredients. Make sure you save room for dessert. They have a full selection of cheeses and tasty homemade desserts. I highly recommend the vanilla malted ice cream with burnt honeycomb. And as a HUGE bonus, they have over 100 different wines. You can even purchase a bottle to go.
